Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Hazy amber, airy head. Yeasty orangey nose. Warming alcohol hidden in a soft body together with orangey and resiny hops. Evident Belgian style flowery, alomndy yeast character. Quite bitter finish.

Pours a transparent dark golden with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy dry citrusy hoppy character and some pale Belgian malt along with some leathery brett. Body starts lightly pale malty and sweet with a lot of brett and big citrusy bittering hops. Finishes drier with some lingering bitterness and crisp fresh hoppiness. An interesting and enjoyable hoppy Belgian.

Bottled.A hazy amber beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel. The falvor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and grapefruit, the alcohol gives it a good body and leaves a slight burn on the palate. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

2010-10-02. Hazy amber body with a nice frothy white head and lace. 3+ Pleasant mild aroma, light citrus, muted yeast and malt. Flavour is pleasant, light yeas throughout, modest citrus, sweet orange, hints of citrus seed grows as it goes on. Modest bitterness throughout, muted malt core. 7+ Smooth average plus palate is well carbonated. 3+ Very drinkable but less assertive than hoped. Not unlike some of the Unibroue Anniversary brews. Bottle from Bottleworks, Seattle

Dark orange, slightly hazy gold with an off-white head. Spicy citrus Belgian yeast aroma. Slightly sweet some spice. Some nice tangy Belgian characteristics to it.

Corked and caged 750mL offering. A loose and easy cork extracts neatly and sprays my fingers in a fine mist. Pours a golden orange color with a fluffy white head. The glass is decorated with loose foamy bunting, and a milky swirl floats atop the liquid. Aromas lean towards the "west coast" avenue with raw green citusy hops. Lemony goodness and tall grasses dancing in the breeze caress the nares. A hint of Belgiany Brett funkiness is present, but it really takes a backseat to the citrusy hops. Flavors are juicy and woody all rolled into one. As Michael Jackson says, "a suspicion of sulphur and sweat." That nails it. Stinky, but insidiously so. Raw and green. Lasting bitterness in the end, and an aftertaste of mild barnyard-infused fruit juice. A Belgian brew that tries to incorporate American brash hoppiness, but it feels disjointed. A worthy effort, and a treat to imbibe; but it ain’t no DeRanke XX Bitter or even an Urthel Hop-It as far as hoppy Belgians go.

Hazy orange, white head. Aroma is musty belgian funk yeast. Flavor is orange, belgian phenolic yeast, spicy, sugar, great citrus profile, lemon, grapefruit and more orange. Full mouthfeel with lots of carbonation, spicy, citrus, wheat and yeast. Interesting beer.

MJ Rare Beer Club, 750ml bottle: Opens with a forceful poooft and pours beautifully into the tulip. Thick honey appearance with a short head that is thick and full. From first sniff, I can tell that this is indeed one unique collaboration. A wall of fresh American hops hit the nose first, followed some wonderful honeyed malt. The body leans in the same direction, although it seems heavily spiced to me. I get alot of chamomile/potpourri type notes below the citrusy hops. As the beer continues to warm, the sweet malt profile develops and balances the perfumey hops (additions?). I noticed some brett in the background of the finish, but it is really light. This should become real interesting in a year.

More Vegas - out of the corner of my eye I see this little circle with Port Brewing in it on the bottle made me get quite excited.<BR. Dumped out into my glass and ended up with a nice initial off white clumpy cap that didn’t last overly long, decent amount of slippery lacing and a nice clear amber brew (not clear after I shook out the sludge from the bottle!). Immediate aromas of musty yeast, pineapple, lychee, fresh and airy. On the second attempt I get freshly cut grass that was just shook out of the mower bag, mint? Lots here but I’m getting adequately buzzed and don’t care as much right now. The taste is very good and highly drinkable. Early fruit and more than usual sweetness that brings almost an orange quality to it (probably closer to apricot and melon?) Lots more funk as I go. jesus, the alc is going straight into my dome.. I taste an interesting spice that reminds me of a mild yet pungent pepper, in fact, that taste mixed in with the fruit is pretty big right now. Funk (which I keep misspelling f**k) is gaining ground. Mild floral flavours, great mix of powerful hops tossed into this brew, leather. Apricots. Strangely dry somehow, a bit of leaf I think. Now its just bluntly dull. Man, this thing is all over the place which is cool. Seems fairly thick overall, good mouth coating, an out of place bitterness that really works well, dryness and .... crap! I cannot figure out what flavour is directly tied into the dryness - I keep hitting on it over an dover again and thought I would have it figured out by now. Nice carbonation. Finishes soft, dry and with mild hops that sure leave a lasting impression on this version of a Belgian Strong. Fish? aaag. drunk. Review ends with "From Skin to Liquid" by Cannibal Corpse. Excessive scotch has weakend by alcohol tolerance. Signature Ale is well worth the money. Drink the sludge!
