750 thanks to Dallas. Pours a murky brown and copper color with a large white head. A fruity nose with light yeast. The flavor is very sweet, some caramel, dry yeast, candies, a bit of warmth, light hops and fruit in the finish, apricot. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 750ml bottle. This bottle is showing some age. Caramel, spicy, floral, masala/Indian food. Great for the age, but I would have liked to try this fresh.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 4/13/2010. No pop of the cork upon opening. Pours very hazy red-orange color with a small fairly dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, peach, orange, floral, caramel, honey, bread, light pepper, clove, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity brett notes with balanced hop and malt notes. Taste of pear, apple, grape, peach, orange, pineapple, floral, caramel, honey, bread, toffee, light pepper, clove, and yeast earthiness. Very slight fruity tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, floral, caramel, honey, bread, toffee, clove, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity hop/yeast notes with well balance malt sweetness; with no cloying flavors present after the finish. Light carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, slick, and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is actually quite good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian strong pale ale, despite lack of carbonation. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity and malty flavors; and quite smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted on 3/4/13 from a synthetic corked and caged bottle purchased at Lush quite a while ago. Pours murky burnt orange with a thin off-white head that leaves a very thin collar of lace. The nose is really awesome, with some caramel malt, a nicely dusty, very dry and funky brett aroma, dried date and raisin, and a bit of cherry aroma. The flavor is very interesting, but not quite as pleasant as the nose, with the aged flavor very pronounced. The funky and dry brett dominate the beer with some old caramel malt and touch of fruity cherry on the back of the palate. The body is full with just lighter than average carbonation and a long, super dry and funky brett finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Muddy caramel brown with scant off-white head (barrel-aged) / Rich, stewed nose of caramel, apple cider, sour malt, and spice / Medium body, mostly flat, some sweetness but excellent balance and lightly bitter finish / Old, musty, mellow flavors of apple brandy, licorice, caramel, nut, cinnamon, nutmeg, and oak / A weird, old European thing, but quite nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle. Bottle cap seems to have "SA72" printed on it. This oneís a gusher... Be ready to pour it into a glass straight after opening. Hazy darker amber / orange color. Lots of chunky greyish yeast particles visible in the body. Big airy off-white head, leaves decent bubbly loose lace. Lightly tart funky nose, brett is evident there. Though as far as brett beers go, the flavor is hardly tart at all, just mostly just sweet, with a light bitter. Some nutty malts, chocolate, caramel malts. Little dark fruits, prominent cooked vegetables. Earthy, herbal hops reveal themselves more as you go, slowly getting more fruity, slightly (lightly citrusy). Bigger body, soft smooth carbonation, lightly creamy, more dry finish. Interesting flavor. Pretty enjoyable, smooth belgian ale to savor over a long-term.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
11.2oz bottle. Murky dulled orange-brown with a whole lot of floaties. Foamy, fading, soapy head. Smells oxidized, funky apple sweetness.some garbage. Spiced caramel, apple, sweet yeast. Not really that impressive at all, tastes sort of like a boozy, infected Bierre de Garde or maybe Brown Ale. The sweet malts are no match for the pear apple flavors. Major disappointment.
