Belgian funk and phenols with an American hopping character. Pours dark gold with a significant haze. The aroma is Brett Funk, spicy phenolics and citrusy hops, all in near equal balance (although the funk does dominate a bit). Flavor follows through from the aroma. The Brett gives this beer a pasty flavor, which predominates. Still, the malt, the hops, and even the phenols come through to balance things pretty well. This beer is a great balance of many differing characters, and it is done really well. If you are not a fan of Belgian or wild brews, BEWARE THE FUNK! If you enjoy them, YOU WILL LOVE THIS BEER!

Smooth aroma of a Brett funk. Slightly hazy Amber with a huge white head. Thinner body that is a smooth Apple with a light inviting funk.

a slightly tart BSA...not sure if that is by design or not. a little farmhouse on the palate as well, with some yeast and light funk, and dark fruits. Not bad, but overpriced.

22 oz. bottle. Very hazy. Dark orange colored. Small head that disappears quickly. The bottom of the bottle was murky as hell and tasted like yeast. The aroma is more inviting than the appearance. Smells like apples. Very malty. A bit funky. Slightest bit sour.. Sweet with a bitter finish. Yeasty finish. Syrupy. Not much of the alcohol comes through, though it’s only 8.5%. Lightly carbonated. The carbonation makes the finish creamy.

11.2 oz bottle, purchased awhile ago at Julio’s. Damn it’s a gusher... After the foamy calmed down enough to get about 7 oz in my glass I noticed the hazy Amber color. Aroma is caramel candy, light funk, dusty yeast, light dark fruit.

The flavor is mostly as the aroma with a chewy thick malty dark fruit and yeast texture. The funk is here very lightly underneath all the malt. No ABV or oxidation found. No clue on the Batch number but it’s held up really well, except for losing 4 oz on the floor. And I should have open prior to now.... So much beer, so little time.

Draft. Golden pour, really nice brett character in this beer, its haylike and subtley funky but a nice medicinal meets tropical type flavor.

750mL bottle. Pours a hazy deep gold, big white head with outstanding retention and lacing. Nose: big funky lilies, barnyard, band aids, dried grass, clover honey. Mouth: creamy, mild sweetness up front, green apple, yeast spice, bitterness amps up mid-range, grassy, floral, bread dough, finishes with some booziness. Very nice! Oh yeah... and fuck the Kings.

Pours a cloudy orange brown from the bottle with minimal wisp of white head. Aroma of funky orange and caramel malts, hint of oak and banana. Taste follows, clean for the booze level, but you can feel the kick in the stomach. Nice but nothing crazy.
