rederic (1444), montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 3, 2008 Cloudy honey gold hue, with a white head, yeasty, fruity, grainy pale malt nose with some honeyish, mild citrusy accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, bready dough character, with some honeyed pale malts, a bit grainy also, with a flowery hop citrusy note and some grapefruit, lemony accents, leading towards a fruity, warmth, hop bittering finish. NoiZe (947), Zeist, Netherlands Oct 2, 2008 Orange, amber colored brew. Fruity, sweet aroma, some spices. Flavor is sweet, balanced fruity flavor and malts. Very nice hopbitterness in the end. Nice flavor, especially the bitterness! Good build up of the flavors. illkarate (48), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Sep 29, 2008 11.2 oz. Pours a deep orange with a nice off-white head. Decent aroma. A bit sweet, with tastes of plum, raisins, apricots... a bit of hay and honey and a nicely balanced suite of spices. Nice mouthfeel and a surprisingly dry finish. Way better than I expected, and at 8.5%, it definitely packs a punch although the alcohol is well hidden. Good stuff!
