5/12/2011 75cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2011-692)

Very little cloudy orange beer, aery white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, some honey, caramel, spices, bit flowery, ripe grapefruit. MF: too much carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, citrus touches, bitter hops, grassy, bit fruity but not much. Aftertaste: bitter, spices (cloves), bit nasty finish. Not as much a fan of it as I was last year.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours a cloudy yellow with a lacing white head. Yeasty hoppy nose. Medium body, sweet fruitiness, yeast and very fresh and flowery hops leaving a solid bitterness. Appears pretty much like a Saison. 261111

Bottle, 75cl. A finger-thick, off-white head sits on top of a more or less clear, golden body. Lacings. The aroma has a hoppy dominans, with grass, pine cones and some citrus peel. The flavor is a bit sweet I think, but with sufficient bitterness to deal with it. Piney, resiny hop flavor. A bit thin and dead on the palate, although quite effervescent. Full-bodied and sort of dryish, although there’s a really sweet flavor. Lasting bitterness in the end. A quite nice one, nothing extraordinary. 111126

Bottle @ Early Winter Gathering season 11/12, Ulfborg. Pours cloudy orange with a large white foam and lacings. Lots of grain and grass. Vague citrussy hops and peach. Dry, floral and perfumey hoppy. Clean without a too heavy Belgium yeast profile. Very hoppy and dry finish. Medium bodied.

Bubbly light straw colored pour. Fluffy white, medium sized head that sticks around and to the sides of the glass, leaving ample lacing. An earthy aroma combined with malt, hops and yeast. Big dry bitterness with a slight sweetness in the back. Malt and yeast flavors mix with a slight hop taste. Nice ale, but looks like a lager it is so light. A slight presence of alcohol.

Bottle at Hasselt Beer Festival, Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium 12.11.11 in company of Loz, Jackie, Simon and David. Pours a light hazy gold with very slim white head. Nice furry hoppiness coats the tongue and stings ever so slightly. Soft in the mouth with a nice gentle carbonation, pithy with plenty of citrus showing, lovely beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
