Bottle. Clear gold pour. Very pretty, peppery, dry, belgian pale ale. Notes of grass, dusty hops, farmy belgian yeast (saison), sparkling palate. Quite quenching, an excellent BPA.

Bière orangée, voilée avec une belle mousse et une dentelle convaincante. Nez fermier de grains frais, d’agrumes et d’herbes. En bouche, c’est campagnard à souhait; du bon jus de balle de foin. Très bon!

750mL for $12 at La Bodega. Pours full haze glowing orange. Thicker white foam, spotty lacing. Nose is fresh peach, Taste is dry all the way, big biscuit and floral hop balance. Palate is crackery, some much fresh grist coupled with grassy hops. Quenching, balanced. No sugar. Doesn’t give off any stale hop notes. Great stuff.

Bruisend blond bier. Citrus hop, ook in smaak. Licht zoet. Droge finish. Niet onaardig

On bottle from Beerplanet.be. Golden color, good foam. Immediate hoppy aromas, medium intensity, pine, good fruitiness, some tropical fruits and good yeast influence. Medium/full body & medium / high complexity. Solid bitterness, well balanced. Very enjoyable

Bottle (75 cl) from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, large white head. Nice subtle phenolic peppery aroma with floral and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied, firm carbonation. Dry with meidum to high bitterness.

Bottle. Golden color. Citrus in the perfumed, almost soapy aroma. Citric hopbitter, perfumed soapy flavor. Too much soap and perfume, too little tropical fruit. Nevertheless quite drinkable.

In short: A grassy-herbal yeasty blond Belgian ale. Highly drinkable. Good beer.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed as fresh as I could get it in Quebec, which means 3 months after it was bottled.
The look: Bright golden-amber body topped by medium white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose evokes a countryside field, wild flowers, green herbs, vegetables, yeasty notes. Intriguing aroma. Taste is quite yeasty and quite hoppy, malts sit on the backseat, some coarse grainy malts, a strong yeast presence, low sweetness sensation, mild fruity notes (less fruity than most Belgian blond ales), dried wiled flowers, sun dried yellowed grass, a mild spiciness (herbals + white peppers). Bitterness level is medium and rather dry. Pleasant lively mouthfeel. Not exactly an exciting beer but drinking a 750ml was more than easy, drinkability factor is very high in this one. Harvest ales have become quite popular in North-America and I didn’t know Belgium breweries also made harvest ales, oh well, you learn something new every day, unless you had a brain injury, then it’s pretty much just coloring book and yelling at household objects.
