2008 bottle. Clear red with a greyish pink head that fades to the rim. Smells of cherries, lemon and old vinegar. Taste is very woody upfront with cherries and their stones, a light barnyard funk and a little sweetness. Some metal in the dryish end. Surprised how much obvious cherry was left here. Nice balance of flavours and textures here - it’s light but mouthfilling and nothing gets in the way of anything else.

Bottle. Pours a hazed ruby garnet brown with no head to speak of. Big fuzzy cherry, funk, barnyard. Lots of sour cherry, vinegar, and big juicy sour cherries. Lightly tart vinegar, lingering tartness. Really nice.

A hazy red colored beer, with a small white rose head. The aroma of some sweet with some sour. Notes of wood and dough with berries. The taste is also some sweet with sour. Notes of wood with berries. A little bit bitter. The aftertaste is fresh sweet and sour.

Bottled 75cl. It pours a red beer with a pinkish medium sized nicely lasting head. Horseblanket a luscious cherry presence showing up in the nose. Balanced. Less sour than expected. I reveled in each sip. Fantastic.

Purple, not a lot of head. Tons of berry flavors and sourness in the nose. The taste felt like it had cranberries to it, but the fruit wasn’t overwhelming and well balanced with the sourness. This one was really great and I know it will be a long time (if ever) before I enjoy another one.

Bottle from the Bottle Stop, Bramhall. Poured a vivid deep red colour with a fast fading pink head. Aroma was preodominantly sour cherry with plenty of da funk lingering. Flavour was tart cherry sourness aplenty with some wood and barnyard notes. Lipsmackingly taaasty swigger. Dried out considerably towards the finish.
Lots to like here. Dug it.

Bottle bought two years ago in Dranken Geers near Gent in Belgium. The pour is deep hazy red with a nice White head that floraer fades and ends up along the edge of the glass. The nose is pretty classic. Lots of cherries and tart as hell. Wet hay and deep secrets of pyjottenland. The taste is fresh and mild. Its not as agressive sour as many others. The taste is long and great balanced. It swings out in the finish with a fine sweetness and a buttery touch. Nice mild mouthfeel. Better than expected.

fantastic deep clear red colour, darker than most kriek lambics of course, and it looks stunning. huge fresh cherry aroma with bretty stuff harmoniously combined, not stingingly rancid like some. marzipanny, woody and subtly malty in the mouth, with plenty of sourness and bacterial mystery in the finish. quite similar indeed to my own oud bruin kriek homebrew. this is what liefmans kriek should be but manifestly is not.
