COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

Marrón caoba, dos dedos de espuma jabonosa que dura poco. El aroma es complejo, predominando notas ácidas. Tostada, licor... En boca mantiene, menor presencia ácida pero evidente. Además malta tostada, café.. cuerpo moderado. No convence. Quizás no estuviera en buenas condiciones viendo el resto de comentarios.

Bottle at home, 23rd December 15. Black, neat head, aroma is slight liquorice, sweet, leather, chocolate. Taste is liquorice, sweet malt, slight hops. Good stuff, I probably prefer the hoppier offerings from De Ranke, one of my favourite Belgian breweries right now...

L: -pours a cloudy mahogany with a medium, frothy, beige head S: -chocolate,plums,raisins,figs,grainy,fru bread, raisins, plums, nougat, toasty finish -high bitterniss for the style F: -medium to high carbonation -medium body -faint alcohol note O: Differs quite a lot from your usual Belgian Dark Ales. The DeScription of "somehwhere between Barleywine and Stout" is definitely right. Great overall

Pours a glass of thick black beer. It’s taste holds somewhat the middle between a Stout and a Barley Wine.
