COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

Não me impressionou.

Rich deep brown/black pour with a tan head. Robust flavours of roasted malts, chocolate, and a very sweet sticky toffee aftertaste which threw me off a bit. Overall a good dark Belgian.

Keg at Chez Moeder Lambic St. Gilles - Brussels. Pours deep brown with a large, thick beige head. The nose holds burnt candi sugars and caramel, Belgian yeast, understated roast, torched malts. Medium to big sweet flavor that is balanced out by bitter roast, charred malts, earth. But you still have rick, fairly sticky toasted candi sugars, dark fruits, suggestions of cocoa. Full bodied with average, filling carbonation. Warming finish, fairly sticky-sweet, with further candi sugar, roast, burnt earth, a bit of toasted grain husk, raisins, prunes and figs. Very good overall.
