COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

Bottle. Mahogany body ("nearly black"? Whoever wrote this, please get your eyes checked ASAP), medium head. Aroma has a slightly tingly sour note with medium hoppiness and sweet dried berries. However, there is also a notable hint of booze. Sweet caramelly taste with plenty of dried berries. The booze is not as prevalent as it is in the aroma. Smooth finish with more dried berries and some raisins. The sweetness is kept in balance with a slightly tart fruity character. Very drinkable for the ABV.

inbirraveritas (1285) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 24, 2015
Bottled, 33 cl (ABV 8.5%). Hazy dark brown colour, medium sized beige head with average duration. Nose of dried fruits, licorice, chocolate... Complex and refined aroma ruled by marmalade and licorice underpainted gently by chocolate, sugar and herbs, mouthfeel is thick. Dry and lingering, gently warming finish with distinct herbs and licorice escorted by earth and dried fruits again. Alcohol’s hidden well, fine one.

dark brown colour, huge, dense beige-ish head; aroma of dried fruits (plum, maybe sour cherry), roasted sugar, chocolate, some herbal notes and hints of ash; taste of roasted malts, some cocoa, fruity notes, minimal alcohol and herbal notes; great Belgian Strong Ale

Brown color with small brown head. Very dry aroma of roasted malts. Taste is more yeasty and sweet, full-bodied. Like a yeasty Doppelbock. Very interesting!

The darkest ale of De Ranke, named after the place where the brewery is active. Seven kinds of malts, making the beer balance between sweet and bitter.
