Ober (404), Best, Netherlands Jul 4, 2008 A hazy dark orange colored beer, with a beige rocky foamed head. The aroma of nice bitter hops, fruity sweet, and spicey. The taste is malt bitter, orange sweet with floral and notes of pepper. A long bitter aftertaste.
armando629 (439), Budapest, Hungary Oct 13, 2008 Bought at Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam. Amber cloudy beer with a nice foamy white head. The slowly opened aroma is spicy coriander and liqueric fruits, caramel, a little vanilla and floral hop. Flavor is spicy with coriander, a strong and good balanced hop, caramel and roasted malt, dried fruits like apricot and some raisins. Bittery, dry finish with coriander. Fine beer! hughie (2286), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Oct 11, 2008 On tap (well actually poured out of a jug) at the Foreign Bar, Bedford BF ’08. Copper with a small white head. Why, according to the Commercial Description, is copper a ’festive’ colour?Sweet slightly leafy aroma. Fizzy, underarm malt taste. Some late bitterness. Not very good, to be honest, considering this was two quid (GBP) for a half pint. rederic (1444), montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 15, 2008 Hazy amber-orangeish hue, with a fluffy white head, yeasty, fruity ripe apple nose, with a nice floral hop accent, with a hint of spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, raw grainy, malty character, with some light fruity notes, a flowery hop citrusy bitterness, leading towards a floral hop bittering finish. Poured an amber/orange color with a huge off white head. Head lingered with a milky looking top. Aroma of yeast, caramel, vanilla, vegetables and herbs. Pretty good flavor; nice and dry, with a hint of earthy hoppiness. Alot of yeast, some fruit and bread; some apple, fruit and flowers to.
