3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Starts out nice, with a fresh saison-like hoppy bouquet and amber color with nice foamy head. Some fruity, yeasty elements as well. Hops dominate throughout (Hallertau/Goldings) and create a bitter profile overall, finishing with an almost astringent bitterness but, thank God, not in the league with some of the more vulgar Cascade-laced tonics. The problem is a lack of fullness and body in the middle - not alot of fruitiness, understated malt, and no spiciness. Funky, earthy qualities noted and are appealing to me, just not a big enough beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Pours a cloudy, amber/orange with a big, creamy head and lacing. Sweet and spice aromas with something phenolic. The taste is in a good spot with an alcohol note. Liked it.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ambar miel oscura. Curiosa. Hibrida. Merece probarla.

330 ml bottle with a BB date of 2018.
Poured, with some sediment, into a Belgian snifter. Hazy honey colored body is topped by a decent sized and quite durable head. Splotchy lacing.
Aroma: sweet and fruity with a fair amount of alcohol.
Flavor: moderately bitter. Bready, nutty and lightly fruity.
O: An Xmas ale that is neither sweet nor spicy, this will break some expectations for some.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Clear copper with a big white head of foam. Very good retention. The aroma is floral, juicy, a little spicy. Mildly bitter and nicely sweet. Dries out to a pleasant floral bitterness. Crisp finish. Medium carbonation. Very easy drinking. Dangerous at 7%.
