Rating Backlog #1. I asked the wonderful folks up at The Brick Store for a Christmas Beer that didn’t taste like a Christmas Tree. This beer fit the bill. Poured reddish. The flavor is best described as a sweet hoppiness. Did exactly what I asked. Brick Store - Decatur, GA

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AlainG (633) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 25, 2013

in generale:
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gerbeer (857) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 13, 2013
750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with medium fluffy head. Aromas of yeast. malts, and lemons with light floral hints. Flavors resin, dried apricots, citrus, and light burnt sugar. Light bitter finish. Still quite fruity after sitting 6+ months.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 niquillis (656) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2013
On keg at The Congress, Longton. Pours red brown, it’s got the sour beer look. Spice, alcohol burns through, some fruits. Alcohol killed the spiciness for me.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TET (1094) - FINLAND - MAR 28, 2013
A cloudy, redbrown beer with a big and blond head. Aroma is fruitfull and slightly aromatic, flowers, spices and some fructose, hint of yeast. Taste is aromatic, fruits, spices and some flowers. The aftertaste is dry, herbs and white peppers. Medium bodied, high carbonation, nice to drink. Dry and strongly spicy beer, I like more fruits.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bartlebier (459) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - MAR 24, 2013
33cl bottle - pours a cloudy apricot orange, nose is exquisitely fine yeast, which carries all the aromas of apricot, vanilla, berries; great grassy hop bitterness, midway between Guldenberg and XX Bitter. Not immediately my favourite style but this is a confident brew departing from age old Belgian ale traditions. Would not necessarily associate this with Xmas, nor need winter to enjoy this.
