Blond, medium carbonation. Refreshing beer. Nice bitter aroma with notes of grass and a little bit lemon. Bitter dry finish.

Oklar, citron färgad med stort, fast, lätt färgat skum. Doft: Jäst, stall, halm, örter, nyklippt gräs. Smak: Humle, mandarin, örter, gräs, omoget granatäpple, jäst, persika. Fresh och svalkande att sippa på.

Large bottle from systembolaget. Pours hazy light amber into the glass. The head is thick and frothy, indicating perhaps the use of wheat in the mash? The aroma is interesting, citrus and yeasty, not bad. The taste is unfortunately more bland or should I say one-dimensional. The hops take over and the softness in the palate cannot compensate for the lack of other flavors than prickly hoppiness. It’s a good representative for Saisons and effective in being giving more thirst. Unfortunately, the taste lacks some complexity and it is likely the chaser will be another beer altogether.

Stor flaska från SB. Gyllenfärgad, grumligare för varje glas, stor vitt skum. Typisk saisondoft med örter, gräs och jäst. Stiltypisk smak men kanske något söt, frisk, lätt, örtig, jästig, färsk svartpeppar, viss citrussmak och beska. Fina rena smaker, ganska snäll. Mycket trevlig!

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2013 Blonde foncée trouble, mousse légère. Amertume moyenne, très léger goût de fruits, légèrement épicée. Une bonne Saison.

Hazy orange-brown colour, huge white frothy head. Aroma is big, lemon, spruce, grass, soap.Taste is lightly sweet, sour, very citrussy. Slick texture. Very refreshing beer.

hay, dough, golden, cloudy, frothy, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, oily feel, average carbonation. Doesn’t have the barnyard saison aroma’s, but a very nice dry refreshing saison with some pepper notes.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy golden with a large frothy white head. Sweet grain (and corn), yeast, pepper, lemon. Taste is sweet with a dry peppery/fruity finish, fizzy bubbles.

Pours a deep orange color. Quite cloudy. Opaque. Big off-white head. Rocky. Good retention, lots of lacing. Solid clumps of bubbles stick to the glass. Fun paper-wrapping on the bottle. Lots of sweet, fresh grain in the aroma. Musty, yeast character. Smells dry. Very fruity. I’m getting a big tropical note with some stone fruit and citrus - pineapples, mangoes, peaches, apricots and lemons. A little bit of pepper spice. The taste starts with pale malt, nice and sweet. Lots of tropical and light stone fruit. Dry and dusty finish with a touch of hop bitterness. Medium body, fairly smooth. Despite the dry finish, it’s still quite gentle. Very good beer. It hits the traditional saison notes and puts some of its own unique spin on the style. Happy to have tried it.

Roast chicken and this. Great Sundays are made from ingredients like these. Not the best saison I’ve ever had, but great nevertheless. St Feuillien has best memories regardless of ratings history. Clean, fresh, fun. I dug up a load of garden today. I know why.
