Bottle at t’brugs beertje - 08/07/12. Slightly hazed golden with a fluffy ivory head. Grassy nose, slightly phenolic, yeast and spice. Hoppy taste, citrus peel, farm, straw, spice. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Overall an enjoyable saison one of the better ones I’ve had.

Bottle-- GUSHER!! Yikes-- left a trail from countertop to sink! Extremely lively pour that needs to be done in installments. Hazy honey gold colour. Hay, and grass, and spice, and pepper. Gassy effervescent mouthfeel for the first 10 minutes or so. The flavours and character are all spot on, but the mouthfeel is just a little too fizzy.

Pours hazy amber with a lasting head off white head. Aroma has semi wild belgian yeast, a bit dusty basement notes, green apples, some sweeter citrus fruits and some dough. Taste is kinda dry and dusty with notes of apples, straw, hay, belgian yeasts, weak hops, wheat bread and light fruity notes. I think this would be great and not too dominating for some nice danish lunch with loads of "Rugbrødsmadder"!

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! A: The beer appears hazy and yellow, with a moderately sized head that leaves some decent lacing behind. S: The aroma is quite floral, with spices following behind. T: The flavor is grassy and herbal, with mild funk. Spices and a subtle hop presence linger in the finish. M: Medium / thin body with solid carbonation. D: A pretty tasty saison. I would happily have this again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-31-2011

Great subtle saison, that brings everything good about Belgian beers to the table: grassy hop bitterness, floral esters, mild thirst quenching sourness, tasty zest, high drinkability, ABV working at the service of aroma and taste. Big plus: Easier on the stomach than a gueuze when you are thirsty. Impressive in its modesty, hard to appreciate the taste evolution with changing temperatures as it goes down so well.

Orange, light misty beer with enormous bubbly, frothy white head. Citrus, hay, basement, classic world hops, biscuits and green apple. Fair amount of refreshing bitterness at first. Foaming mouth sensation. Aftertaste is long and has a grapefruit peel like bitterness. Lovely uncompromised saison taste. A truly bitter yet decidedly Belgian beer. Great stuff. (75cl bottle, reasonably priced)

750ml green bottle. This beer gushed upon opening, even now after pouring a full glass (at least 475mls) it’s foam creeps up the neck of the bottle. Once it hit the glass the beer is golden in colour and hazy. Big whipped white head of foam on top. Nose is lightly funky with light citrus (lemon) hints, slight spice. Taste has big yeasty notes, minerals and slate, citrus and leaflike hops. Finishes with light funk, light bitterness, lingering grassy notes. Body is shockingly light, the carbonation is light despite the gushing. Excellent refreshment factor here, pleasant funk and citrus and lightish body make this extremely quaffable.

Orange in color with big beautiful off white head. Aroma is black pepper, lemon/orange citrus, some sweeter notes, cedar phenolic notes and a touch barnyard. Flavor follows. Moderately low sweetness with phenolic spiciness and a citrus fruitiness with hints of hop that follow with lingering hop bitterness. A touch barnyard, a mellowed lemon/orange citrus ester, some phenolic wood, and BOOM... you got yourself a classic Saison.
