Bottle. Pours a crystal clear deep golden body with a medium white head. Nose is bread dough, straw, white sugar, Belgian ale yeast, hay and hints of pale malts and walnuts. Taste is bitter herbs, straw, Belgian yeast, bread dough, white sugar and hints of hay, grass and wet leaves. Light body, dry finish, high carbonation. A pretty much flawless classic dry saison like this is really hard to find IMO. Not quite my favorite style, but a craftsmanship of this kind is deserving of correct observation, nevertheless. Nice one.

330mL bottle from Beer Cartel BB 3/2018 Pours a big fluffy white head atop a murky apricot-orange body Aroma of medium intensity; doughy, bready, peppery phenolics, distinctly minerally/earthy, with ripe stonefruit undertones. Lively carbonation, body is full, fair bit of weights for the style & abv. Cereal malts on the palate; grainy, bready with peppery spice, earthy undertones, & ripe apricot notes. Lifted bitterness on a dry finish. Middle of the range offering for a Saison; balance seems a touch off.

LesArgen (245) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 17, 2015
Aromas of banana and bread (banana bread?) dominate, followed by some citrus and salt. In the mouth, the sweet banana is almost cloying, followed by a really nice hop bitterness. The length is good, and the malt structure strong. There’s a pleasant alcoholic burning in the back of the throat, which is surprising for a beer with 5.5% alcohol. Bottle from Prince Wine Store Essendon.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear, dark straw colour with a solid, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, hay, citrus, Belgian yeast and some pepper. The flavour has more hops, grass, citrus and some spices in the background. Has a slick mouth feel, and a balanced bitterness. A fresh, easy-drinking and well balanced saison.
