ksiwzos (82) - GREECE - DEC 15, 2014
Light hazy medium orange with large head with amazing lacing, lasting, white head. Aroma is light malty, some apple, nice flowers from the hops, grass. Not very intense but complex and beautiful. Very dry and hoppy, a bit fruity(coriander?) with medium carbonation. Just notes of funk. So hoppy and beautiful, but complex too. Truly lovely.

Pours hazy pale to medium amber with a one finger of light beige head diminishing gradually to a thin cap, moderate lacing. (4/5) Nose is pithy citrus, yeast, cloves, barnyard funk, faint banana. (8/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter, mild funk. (8/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, dry bitter funky finish. (4/5) A pleasant, slightly funky dry saison. Fruit is muted and restrained, as is the sweetness. For the price, though, it could stand to be a bit more interesting - as it stands, it’s a decent beer at a premium price. I think it’s slightly better than the sum of its parts, though, so I’m bumping up the overall a bit. (18/20)

Bottle 33cl from Malting Pot @home. A great example of Belgian "Saison", bitter and refreshing. Nice!

Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Pours amber with a foamy, white head. Esters, banana nose. Banana, pepper, spice flavour. Sweet, with quite a lot of bitterness. Medium to low carbonation and body. Hint of oilyness. Very refreshing. This has everything you look for in a saison.

tricksta_p (1671) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2014
Aroma of light malt, yeast, some fruits, spicy notes, hop. Flavour is light sweet, but lacks tartness. Finish is dry and medium bitter. Refreshing and esily drinkable. Not a great Saison though, because of the low funk and absent tartness.
