Saison de Dottignies is a high-fermenting saison with a relatively low alcohol content which makes for a well-balanced beer.

Taste: Full of taste, but very drinkable. Heavily-hopped and thirst-quenching - typical of saison-styled beers.

Hops: Challenger, Brewers Gold, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Styrian Golding

amber color funky pepper and hay mouth. A bit heavy and not really what I think is a saison.

In the aroma tones of wheat, light citrus notes, a little spice, grass and sugar syrup. On the palate, citrus acidity, grain tone. Bitterness is strong, severe, very grassy. The aftertaste bitterness begins to bulge even more actively, until the discomfort appears perfume and acidity also stretches.

33 cl, flaske, 5,5 % ABV, BB: 23/04/20, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle@home in Trappist glass@approx 10 degrees C. Pours a slightly hazy golden, with an off white head with good retention. Malty aroma with an earthy note and hints of bread. Taste of more malt and earthines somewhat one-dimensional and more akin to a German beer than a Belgian to my taste. Bitterness comes through in the long aftertaste, but is quite subdued. Carbonation quite low making the beer a little flat and "heavy" Not among my favourite saison’s to be honest, but not a bad beer.

330ml bottle in Blaendulais. 5.5% BB Feb 2020. Dark orange, hazy, lightly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is light caramel wafer, some wet cardboard, prune juice maybe. Body is medium to light, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is crisp, tonic water, lightly woody, dry leaves with a white pepper finish. Very drinkable, decent.
