3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Large bottle from systembolaget. Pours hazy light amber into the glass. The head is thick and frothy, indicating perhaps the use of wheat in the mash? The aroma is interesting, citrus and yeasty, not bad. The taste is unfortunately more bland or should I say one-dimensional. The hops take over and the softness in the palate cannot compensate for the lack of other flavors than prickly hoppiness. It’s a good representative for Saisons and effective in being giving more thirst. Unfortunately, the taste lacks some complexity and it is likely the chaser will be another beer altogether.

Bottle. Orange color with strong foam head. Turns murky when yeast us deposited. Refreshing saison aromas: yeast, grains, lemon, cheese, grass, garage funk. Taste is a little bitter, with a typical saison undertone (yeast, cheese), white grapes. Funky aftertaste, lemon.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle
Orange hazy beer with frothy dense big white head. Aroma has pale malts, Belgian yeast, slight funkiness, flowers, apricot and honey. Flavor has pale malts, grassy bitterness, fruitiness and yeast. Palate is thicker than medium full and foamy. Finish has quite initially mild bitterness, but it lingers long and feels stronger afterwards. Aftertaste is malty sweet, grassy and yeasty stuffy. Some soapiness as well. Decent, but not the most refreshing or crisp saison. Feels almost too yeasty.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a big, bubbly head with a golden yellow, clean color.
Has aromas of crisp citrus with unripe orange among slightly spiced wet grass. Peppery spices get a mild, dough touch to them, due to a distinct, slightly tart, lemony, yeast foundation. Reveals a convincing interplay between gentle, floral hops and mild, spiced yeast.
The taste mirrors the nose to a certain degree, with a fruity, lemony beginning, revealing clove, cardamon and pepper, together with orange zest. Mouthfeel is outstandingly smooth, all flavors get coated up by a mellow yeastiness, which provides a pleasant complexity to the refreshing, slightly sour fruits. Has a crisp spiciness with a biscuity, dry hoppy finish, and a metallic hint added from the high carbonation. Very round, refreshing and versatile, while staying at lower abv, perfect example of a traditional saison.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A delightful lil’ sipper while waiting for my own Saison to be ready. Funky and tart, a light amber pour with a yeasty haze and a fizzy white head that peters off quickly. Vinous and fruity, white grapes, peaches, lemons, honey, corn, cereal and yogurt play nicely in the aroma and taste. With a palate quite dry, it is also somewhat full yet lively. It is a wee bit on the tart side for me but still a fine beer indeed.
