On tap at the Avenue Pub. Hazy blond a medium white head. Citrus and some herbs. Sweet with a dry and bitter finish. Decent saison, but does not have the expected "kick.".

Dit is voor mij persoonlijk een van de minst lekkere saison-bieren dat ik al geprobeerd heb

Bottle from Systembolaget. Fresh and fruity taste and smell with ripe apples. Also a light spicy aroma. Strong carbonation and noticable but not very strong bitterness.

The aroma won’t be to everyone’s taste with sour, sharp, earthy aromas. Pours a pale orange colour. Taste is exceptional, sharp and bitter with peppery, earthy hop giving a lot of bitterness with very little sweetness to balance. Average carbonation, the finish is long and bitter. Overall a fine beer. Not for those with a sweet tooth, the hopping is superb but achieving great balance.

October 2010, bottle age unknown. sparkling gold body, tall white head, lasting retention. instant juicy fruit/bubble gum yeast esters and somewhat surprisingly high pale belgian candy sugar character clutter what would otherwise be a decent smelling beer: lightly floral, pillowy, moderately spicy phenols... but instead this is all covered with crystalline/sugared bubble gum esters. delicate and silky body, more sweet than I prefer saison, and again, dominated by bubble gum notes. will have to revisit. 6/4/6/4/14, 3.4

And then I did revisit... August 2014, bottled May 2014, 10 weeks old, 33cl bottle fresh from Dottignies. Lemon / herb hop nose, rustic yeast that’s just a tad rubbery. Dry (I don’t know how I got sugar and bubble gum), acidic, quenching, bitter and hoppy, astounding nice, gulpable... wow.... 4/8/4/8/16, 4.0

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Hazy, dark straw colour. Tidy, thin, white head. Yeasty dough. Lemon zest. Some light, peppery spice. Hint of buttery biscuit. Taste is yeasty dry. Spicy dry. Light tartness. A light, biscuit sweetness ties things up nicely. Fresh, tart, lively palate. Finish is spicy dry, with a fairly lengthy, bitter end. Punches well above it’s weight.

Light hay. Cloudy orange with ok head and lacing. Not much floral hops here. Light bitter finish. Tap at Churchkey.

Bottle @ home.
