Koperbruin bier, schuimkraag verdwijnt snel. Fruitig aroma, smaak van honing en caramel. Levendig koolzuur, beetje waterig.

Douberd (1999) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - OCT 17, 2013
Bottle 330 ml, bought at the brewery. Poured into a tulip glass, ABV 6.5% Nice colour, very deep orange to amber, with a clear body and a tall off-white head on top. Average to low retention, although it was thick enough. Light lacing left on the glass after swirling it a bit. Aroma of malt, a bit grainy, light caramel. It is not so strong but it is certainly appealing. Taste of light malts, light fruity, raisins, some yeast and caramel, especially on the finish. Nice balance between sweetness and bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Overall a very tasty belgian ale with a relatively low ABV, always nice to fins such tasty beers from small breweries.

Full amber colored beer with a white head. Medium carbonation. Malts, caramel, honey and a light fruitiness. Basically a typical Amber beer in the belgian style. But done wondefully. Perfectly balanced.

Sweet, hoppy and fruity aroma. Cloudy, brown coloured with a nice off-white lasting and creamy head. Sweet taste with hops and some licorice/lakritz ("drop" -dutch candy). Sticky, creamy and full beer. Quite nice drinkin. However not much balance.

75cl bottle, very nice ruby-pale coloured beer with a fine ofcoloured head. Beauty to see, and the odour is a bit herbal/spicy (cloves) bit hoppy but a very good tracable yeast odour. The taste is at atart nice and gets lost in sparkling mayhem. Stil a nice beer

Countbeer (4302) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2011
Bottle: Small off white creme head, that disappears quick and leaves a 1/4th lacing, on top of a hazy dark amber colored beer. Smell malts, nuts, soya, salt, sea, hints of honey, barley, marzepin and a slight hint of prunes. Taste malts, sweets, caramel, barley, some hops, medium bitter, nuts, autumn herbs. Medium bitter malty herby aftertaste. Medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture. Not that bad.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2005 re-rate: This time it tasted like it was meant to be I guess. All the yeast aromas and flavors are gone, the homebrew character replaced by a nice well balanced micro brew character. 10-20-2002, 2.3: Spices, coreander and yeast aroma. Red colour, off-white frothy head, fair lace. Light sweet, spice bitterness, yeast flavor. Long, light bitter finish. Has a homebrewed beer character.

The trick with these 'de roos' beers, is not to pour the yeast. That's also stated on the bottle. So, leaving the last ml of beer/yeast in the bottle: Hazy nutbrown color, short brown lasting head. Caramel malty aroma, some hops. Sweet taste, soft caramel malts, creamy. Bit watery palate though. Nice easy to drink beer!

Bottle conditioned. t Arendsnest Jan 2004. Deep chestnut red, thin white head and moderate condition. Fruity hop aromas and background malt that reminded me of Palm. Sweet nutty malt and flowery hoppiness in the mouth and a sweet nutty finish with a bitter tingle of hop.
