Bottle@Home. Malty, coriander, hint of pepper aroma. Hazy, dark yellow, off-white head, good lace. Malty, sweet, lightly spiced, nicely hopped, soft bitterness. Quite full. Especially for the style I was pleasantly suprised.

33cl bottle. Orange with a small white head. Nose : Strong hay and lighter caramel notes. Some coffee beans and honey. Sip : Oily texture with a medium carbonation. Fluffy but easy to drink. Sweet and aromatic with a little sour and bitter hop ending, the atertaste is licorice. Original beer. I’m enjoying it.

SHIG (2703) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 19, 2008
Bottle: Poured a light orange brown with a white medium head. I expected something more golden, maybe to cold. I do like the appearance. Aroma is sweet with fruit, malt, and some very fine spice. The taste is very good with fruit and sugary malts, the finish is tangy hops that dry the buds. Very pleasant suprise!

My Bottom Line:
Floral hops and banana esters bloom from the bready yeast, as an atypical spicing (usually reserved for dessert beers) garnishes this fluffy pastry of a blond Belgian Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the cloudy orangey golden.
-Few hops decorate the finish; it’s mostly malt and yeast here.
-The body is cushiony and well built; one of the beer’s finest features.
-This is very drinkable and balanced throughout.

Bottle; best before Feb.’09.

Bottled. Clear golden with your occasional large belgian foam. Strong aroma of yeast, dried oranges and nutmeg. Fruity and fairly dry flavour of dried oranges, herbs, burnt sugar and toasted bread in the flavour. Long finish if apricots, cinnamon, geassy hops and maruenge. Quite interesting Blonde.
