33cl Bottle at Café Gollem. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of light bready malts, light fruity, unripe fruits, yeast, light spice. Flavour is light to medium sweet, malty, dry, yeast, light fruity sourness, fruity dry light bitter finish. Light-bodied. Decent blond ale, but not outstanding in any way.

Named after the brewery’s original name (De Gouden Arend) and produced since 2006. Creamy white head, golden blonde beer with an aroma of malt sweetishness and light fruitiness, taste again fruity (apple, unripe peaches) with a metallic undertone, medium mouthfeel and mild hop bitterishness in the finish. Rather forgettable.

Bottle at the Moorings, Aberdeen, 21/06/14. Clear golden with a good sized off white head that retains well. Nose is light citric peel, straw, floral tones, faint orange, pretty thin all in all. The taste offers a little more than the nose but again is subdued considering the ABV, yeast esters, spice, bitter orange, citric peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little prickle, herbal wash in the close. So very so !

Scopey (6651) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle at Moorings. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The nose is doughy, sweet, grainy, bread and a touch of spice. The taste is bitter-sweet, pear, apple, mild spice, toasty, candy sugar, dull tartness and dough with a short finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Fairly standard Belgian blond, but it drinks pretty easy.

Countbeer (4369) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium sized white head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of malts, yeast, some slight grainy/alcohol tones, hints of yellow fruit, cream, light sweet tones and some hay/nutty tones. Flavours of grains, herbs, honey, hay, some alcohol/glue tones, malts, light herb/more spicy tones (but lower)... Aftertaste is malty, herbal, creamy, bitter, some yeast and plants. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy mouthfeel. Typical but decent beer for it’s style.
