[1334-20080508] 330mL bottle. Sweet bourbon whiskey alcohol aroma. Hazy, dark amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Sweet slightly boozy malt flavour has a hint of raisin and a woody finish. Medium-full body is a bit boozy. Interesting in a pleasant way, well-blended.

A Ronnie beer. Slightly hazy, minimal head. Nice nose of crystal malt and sultanas, fairly full in body, with a remarkably clean palate, a bit on the sweet side, but I expected that. Cant say there’s much more to it, it’s not a bad brew, but it’s not a classic in my book. I’d certainly have it again, but as it’s an R.B. that’s gonna be unlikely!

2008-05-08. Brown body with a modest beige head (3+). Sweet aroma of caramel or brown sugar soaked malt, dark fruit. Sweet flavour with lots of the dark fruit hinted at in the aroma. Sweet sugary undertones. Average plus palate. (3+) Pleasant and quite drinkable, but does not distinguish itself a whole lot from many other similar Belgian brews. Bottle courtesy of trade with Boutip
