Boutip (1810), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Nov 23, 2007 Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt with some notes of light spices. Taste is also dominated by some creamy Belgian malt with some candi sugar and some dry fruits components. Good full body with some limited filtration and some good carbonation. I really appreciated the toffee and caramel notes that were easily discernable. Jerre (1396), Waregem, Belgium Oct 27, 2006 Bottle, 33 cl. Dark amber-brown color, beige head. Aroma is malty. Medium sweet with soft mouthfeel. Medium body. There is differance with Rochus.
