COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned and filtered keg.
Ingredients: Hops, malt, water, yeast, sucrose, spices.
Named after the original name of the brewery - De Gouden Arend (the Golden Eagle).
Arend Double has a warming sweet caramel flavour in combination with a subtle bitterness of hops. The full-bodied aftertaste turns this beer into a modern top fermented quality product.

Bardzo dobre piwo, ktore rosnie w oczach. Chodzi mi oczywiscie o piane. Spora i drobinkowa metnosc, kolor ciemno rubinowo-bordowy. Piana niebywale trwala. Aromat sliwek i innych owocow suszonych. W smaku slodkawe ale nie przytlaczajace. Lekka wytrawnosc daje sie zaznaczyc na finiszu.

Bottle, 33 cl. Dark amber-brown color, beige head. Aroma is malty. Medium sweet with soft mouthfeel. Medium body. There is differance with Rochus. I’m not wild of this beer, but it’s good.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt with some notes of light spices. Taste is also dominated by some creamy Belgian malt with some candi sugar and some dry fruits components. Good full body with some limited filtration and some good carbonation. I really appreciated the toffee and caramel notes that were easily discernable.

Bottled. pours out in a hazy amber body. Low sticky white head. Surprisngly dry and hoppy aroma of yeast, nuts, wet wood, cocoa-powder, minerals and grassy hops. Dryish and aromatic flavour of orange-peels, wet grass, nuts and coffee. Dryish finish of yeast, orange-peels and minerals. Has a farmhouse character. Tasty!

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Very deep ruby colour with thick lasting rocky beige head. Perfumed strong Belgian ale aroma. Quite interesting and tasty and makes you want to try it again. Reminds me of a few of the really good dark beers, more of an abt than a dubbel. Good malts hold it up but this spicyness is really very good. Finished it in just a few minutes. Something like a toned down Rochefort 8 is my best analogy

Draught: Poured a brown clear amber with a white head. The aroma was a rich taffy malt. The taste was a sweet malt.

33 cL @ Delices et Caprices in Brussels. Hazy brown beer with amber highlights, off-white head. Aroma quite malty with some dark fruit notes. Roasty malt flavor with tart fruit notes and faintly bitter hops. Plenty of character while instantly likable, drinkable and refreshing. Well balanced, neither sweet nor overly spiced. A classic take on the style.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy reddish with a fully diminished white head. Light hoppy and fruity aroma. Mildly spiced and caramel malt flavour, light yeasty spiced. Ends with a nice fruity note, solid bitterness and a light spice/yeasty mellow note. Nice.
