3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught @ Zythos march 7th 2009. Recommended to us because it would be a straightforward tripel. That was not to much said. Somewhat flat taste to my opinion, but very drinkable and enjoyable, although it did not get stuck in my memory.
I am curious about the bottled version.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled sample. Clear gold in colour with strong carbonation. Fairly basic aromas of lemon, pale malts, and spicy Belgian yeast. Slightly more complex in the mouth, with notes of white pepper, yeast, light malts, candi sugar, and a bit of banana. Medium bodied. Seems like a fairly average, by-the-book, tripel to me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
My wife got me this one. Thanks! Pours hazy orange, good amount of cabonation, with a huge fluffy head. The aroma is floral and fruity with a little bit of straw. Flavors consist of bananas, cloves and spices but also some farmhouse Saison-like qualities with a barnyard funk taste. The beer finishes a little sour and tart. Overall a pretty good beer, this kept me interested the whole way through.

Hazy straw. Some sweet malts, cheese rind and peach/pear esters...good yeast aroma too. Very spicy flavour with light breadcrusty malts. Good balance. Sweet pear fruitiness in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle kp tasting. Hazy pale golden with off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma makes it smell quite juicy. Nice sweet character is simple and mellow. Nothing special but goes well with cheese.
