33cl. Pours a dark yellow to orange coloured beer. Fine creamy and thick white head. Smells like spices, citrus and hops. A very pleasant full bitter taste with a hint of alcoholsweetness. Aftertaste ends dry with some hints of citrus and koriander. One of the best tripels I had in the past few months!

330ml in Sierra XXX balloon at Toad in the Hole. Foggy orange with large white head that dissipates but leaves some lace. Subdued aromas of pine, warm spice, and simple malt. Flavor is a wonderful balance of forward sweetness, gentle malt, warm complex spices, and crisp bitterness. Admirably light body, aggressive carbonation. Wonderful stuff.

Yummm! Nice beer! Poured with a big, off-white, foamy head and a little lace. Color is an almost perfectly clear amber. Aroma is yeasty, dry, champagne, a little hop and a little malt. Flavor is not huge, more subtle, but quite pleasing - again yeasty, with a dry - sweet - dry action that is intriguing. Great body and excellent carbonation. Finish is very good with only a little alcohol showing a time after the swallow. Could be a session beer if you went easy.

Bottle 33 cl from Willems in Grobbendonk (B). Orangy blonde with fine and firm foam forming laces. Powerful and complex nose, ripe fruit, corn syrup and spices. The taste is full, malted, with toffy and floral notes, honey and ginger. Final still fruity and spicy, alcohol and note of crunchy almond.

Lightly hazy gold with a head of stiff white peaks. Aroma is dry apple cider with other peary esters, and some ginger. Taste brings more pear to the fore, with apple still in charge, and other very subtle darker fruits in the background with prominent alcohol warming, and noticeable noble hop character. 2Eu/11.2oz

Sampled on 1/1/11. This Abbey Tripel pours a slightly hazy hay yellow gold color from a 33cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity, yeasty and sweet. A medium bodied tripel. The malts are fruity and sweet, yeasty, with lots of peach and orange flavors. Nice carbonation. Sweet with a touch of dryness at the finish. A somewhat delicate tripel, with a nice sweetness up front yet finishing somewhat dry. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle at ZBF08. Good bready aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. Good spiciness, some alcohol. Creamy and smooth flavour. Very nice.
