330 ml bottle. BBE F/15. From belgianbeerfactory.com.
Dark murky red colour with a big foamy pink head. The aroma is like cherry flavoured yoghurt and malt put together. Yummy! Not really. The flavour is also very strange... There’s not much Kriek qualities here, it’s just very odd fruit beer. There’s sourness and cherry essence messed with malty flavour. Not my favourite. This non-kriek is non-fantastiek.

Syrupy zesty cherry. Dank brownish with collapsing white head, intriguing. Faltering carbonation, main thread is some fruit left to mulch in the sun too long and scrubbed away. Cardboardy, gritty little sour. Nicht Fantastich.

Bottle, November in December Tasting.

Pours redish/pink. A very simple fruit beer that is very sweet, its more like a kids drink with added hubba-bubba bubblegum, not great

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours light red-brown with a pinkish white head. Aromas are shampoo and hubba-bubba. Taste is sickly sweet. Texture is thin, bit fizzy. Strange one for sure.

Bottle from BOE putting the tree up, 01/12/13. Murky burgundy with a pink-swirled beige swell of foam. Soapy cherry, rye bread and wholemeal nose. Sweet but not excessively so with countering sherbet tang and more of that underpinning rye. Dab of sweetener but it’s bearable. Some Flemish caramel, balsamic and iron. Superior ladybeer. Surprisingly drinkable.

75cl bottle @Kulminator, Antwerpen. Some sweet, very subtle tart and wood aroma. Pours dark amber with nice off white head, persistent, some lacing. Light body, average carbonation, some oily texture. Taste is fruity, cherries, very sweet. Some artificial flavours. Sweet aftertaste.

Bottle @ home shared with my girlfriend. A bit hazy red color, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness and red fruit. Pretty nice actually. Or maybe I’m just in a weird mood.

A hazed brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet harsh cherries, with loads of oxidized cardboard. In mouth, a sweet chemical cherry with honey malt, light balsamic notes, acidity, unbalanced. Bieropholie import.
