faroeviking (3955), Faroese Beer Republic union of, Denmark Jun 22, 2008 Botella. Clear red-brown colour. Aroma of cherries with some spice and toasted malt. Mild sweet cherry malty flavour with some spice and dark fruits. thewolf (3392), Kolding, Denmark Jun 20, 2008 Bottle @ Plan B, Cph.
Pours dark, deep, red with a medium, fizzy, pink-beige head. Aroma has lots of sweet caramel - notes of Werthers Echte. Some slight cherries and a ashy feel. Light mouthfeel, with low carbonation. Flavour is weirdly ashy, some slight tart cherries and sweet caramel. Very weird, some metallic tones. Miksu (1181), Jyväskylä, Finland May 10, 2008 0.33 l bottle. Reddish amber color with fluffy dirty looking head. Sweet aroma with caramel, cherry, almonds and whiff of brandy. Sweet flavor with overripe cherries, wood, candy and nuts. Something, perhaps the cherry stones, gives this beer a woody, almondy, overripe and slightly bitter edge which sepates this from the standard sugary and juicy fruit beers. Not bad.
