Draught @ GBBF 2007, London. Unclear red / amber / grey color with a small, virtually none head. Aroma is moderate cherry, strawberry sweet. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Ungstrup (26475) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 9, 2006
A hazy deep red beer with a thin head that is a mixture of pinkish and beige. The aroma is sweet with notes of cherries and stale fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe cherries, like eating them late in the season, when they are close to go bad, but also with slight woody notes. The end is dry and here the woody notes grow stronger. The carbonation tickles the tongue.

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours hazy brown and with a lacing light orange head. Distinct herbal aroma. Flavour is light sourish, only vague note of cherries. Light roasted malt flavour. Sweet canesugarish note too. Strange chemical note in addition. Not bad though, just not fantastic.

(Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy reddish brown with a small, off-white and rather dense head. Vaguely fruity, berryish nose. Rather light body with a distinct fruity sweetness and a vague underlying acidity and some accents of marzipan. Rather dry finish. 240206

Bottle at home. Hazy red brown coloured with a huge off white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, cherries and cherry stones. Fruity flavour of caramel, cherries and cherry stones with notes of citrus. Citric finish.

omhper (17556) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 7, 2005
Bottled. Dark red, pink head. Very sweet with loads of saccharine flavour. Fairly malty with soft, pleasant mouthfeel, but the saccharine dominates completely. The cherries drown in a virtual sea of artificial sweetness. Un-fantastic...

Bottle. Dark reddish colour with a small off-white head. Malty fruity aroma with hints of cherries. Sweet malty cherry flavor. Has sweet cherrie aftertaste.

Bottle. Smells like red cherry juice, slightly smoky. Refreshing winegum cherry flavour. A bit sweet.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2005 Bottle at Reading Beer Festival. Cloudy, cherry colour. Not as sour as some krieks. Creamy cherries in mouth with only a slightly sour finish Re-rate from Catford beer festival. Before I thought that this was poorer due to the fact that it does not have Liefmans Kriek hit of fruit. However, now having had this twice I appreciate the better balance in this beer. The malts are given more room to manoevure and are richer and not so overly dominated. Excellent beer. Thanks to phil_l for the recommendation
