An De Ryck has been demonstrating for years that women can stand shoulder to shoulder with men in the brewing world. Her Special is a low alcohol beer in the pale ale style with a soft sweet taste and fresh finish

Amber colored pour. No head. No lacing. Musty aroma with yeast. Slight bitterness up front with a slight sweetness. Okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle, sampled post ZBF 2013. - Pours a near-convincing orange-amber with good lively white foam. Somewhat flat and cardboard aromas. Taste is split up between upfront herbal spicy hops and timid caramalts imparting a thin body for the style. Thin, but/and thus sessionable. Decent quality B-hop aftertaste. This is in the midrange, but any brewery that helps along the revival of the style Spéciale belge beyond Palm has my support.

Sentori di luppolo e di fruttato protetti da un bel cappello di schiuma. Un discreto ma non invasivo amaro caratterizza il suo retrogusto. Non fra le mie preferite.

Not much to the aroma, looks okay. This is really a ho-hum beer. A little spice but more of grassy malt, I’m not real impressed with this or the triple.

Fine, but not too interesting. Pours a slightly cloudy golden with a light white head. Not much smell, a little herby. Taste is clean and refreshing, but nothing out of the ordinary. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle. Amber coloured beer with large creamy off white head. Slight hop and citrus in the aroma making a pleasant mix. Malt in the taste and again the citrus flavour.Drank at room temperature which i think helped.Ok session beer but nothing special.

Countbeer (4974) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 3, 2012
Draught: Small vast white creamy head on top of a light hazy orange colore beer. Smell malts, orange, yeast and hints of hop and yeast. Taste orange, tangerine, yeast, malts, pils malts, some hops and some barleys. Crispy but light and watery. Aftertaste of malts, light bitter, herbs, orange and light yeast notes. Low to medium carbo, watery mouthfeel, medium body and a bit thin and watery texture. Watery but ok.
