Draught, 6.0% at ’t Arendsnest. Hazy amber colour. Small light brown head. Quite hoppy flavour with a good bitterness. Some aroma hops, slightly caramelly. A little yeast note. Like a good, hoppy pale ale. Creamy mouthfeel.

Tap, ’t Arendsnest Amsterdam. Bitter flavor, flowery with ginger. Long bitter aftertaste with cologne. Brewed with cascade hops, according to the barmen, but I didn’t taste the blackcurrant and grapefruit these beers usually have.

Very cloudy orange beer covered by a slowly diminishing off-white head. The focus is clearly set over the hops. They are both grapefruity and floral, assumingly cascades again, this seems to have a growing popularity in the Netherlands. Aromatic and fresh, vibrant offering. Its biscuity malts offer a firm support that borders chewiness. Beautifully integrated from start to finish, frank and bright. Good!

A light hazed blonde ale with a thin creamy lacing white head. A pleasant hops aroma, citrusy, resinous. In mouth, a good biscuitty malt with good hops, grapefruits, pinhey hops. A medium bodied ale. Tasted more like an APA ut enjoyed it! On tap at Arendnest, Nov. 2006.

Oct, 2007 On tap at ’t Arensnest the day after the marathon Fruity, yeasty Saison style pale ale. Some spice, some alcohol weight - yet light and easy to drink. Cascade hops give an APA feel. A firm pale ale. Gorgeous. [4.3]

(Draught@’t Arendsnest) Hazy yellow with a medium, nicely lacy head. Very strongly, crisply grassy-flowery-hoppy (IPA-like). Deliciously crisp-hoppy flavor with nice balance between the strong, dry hops and honey-sweet maltiness. Medium-bodied, refreshing palate with low carbonation. A very pleasantly hoppy and refreshing blonde - a Dutch IPA?

Draught (Arendsnest, Amsterdam)
Sharp slightly citrussy aroma. Massive dry resiny bitter taste. Long bitter finish. Not as simple as an American I/APA. Earthy hops - some pepper finish.
