A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from Quinns. Spicy malted nose with some grapes and bananas. Cloudy orange with a slight head and plenty of lacing. Spicy orange flavour with some off milk. Very spritzy mouthfeel. Bitter finish with a hint of alcohol.

On tap at Kent BF 07. Cloudy orange/copper colour with off white head. Decent brown sugar rich aroma. Rather a nice yeasty, fruity flavour in mouth. Bit syrupy on the malts. Moderate fresh grapefruit hop finish. Rather good and very different to the UK beers I had.

Bottle. I got a lot of fruityness out of this one. Grapes, citrus fruit and pineapple. Finish is yeasty and lightly acidic, quite sweet for the most part though.

Draught at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Hazy amber beer with almost no head. Very malty aromas of caramel and molasses, some fruit too. Sweet malty taste. Finishes sweet and fruity. Not bad, not good either.

Draught. Very malty aroma, bonbon. Cloudy, dark copper colour, almost no head. Very malty flavour, almost making me think that it is oxidized or at least quite old. Fruity maltiness and long, malty aftertaste. Well done to put so much malt in a 5% beer.

Nice tasting ale, had it on draught. Fruity and sweet tasting once drinking. Some spiceyness at the beginning.

On tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Bizarre malt extract aroma - very nutty. Aroma leads into the flavours, then relaxes slightly into a dried fruit and muesli affair. Really unusual and almost weird. Nice blond/amber background.

Hazy orange color, short head. Aroma of sweet amber malts, some fruity notes. Sweet taste, bit malty, slightly bitter.

This beer has a amber body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is spicy with a light spicy afther tast.

Arendsnest, Amsterdam. On draft. Hazy orange coloured, dying head. Some malts, cloying sweetness. A hint of honey perhaps. Some bitterness in finish. Unimpressive.
