Bottle, courtesy of the kind staff at Beer Temple (November 2009). Two-fingers of slightly off-white head; darker copper-brown..fairly dense looking. Grapefruit hop aromas, and pretty aggressive for the style. Passion fruits and some caramel sweetness in the flavor. Fuller body, fluffy and a little thick with soft carbonation. Interesting.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 dec23 (52) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2009
I first spent some time smelling this beer and then decided I needed to write a review immediately. The aroma is great. It has something of coniferous trees, tangerines and hop. The brew looks like a good low countries amber beer ... the kind you cannot really look through even though it is not dark at all. The first sip goes down smoothly and retains all the qualities of the smell. It is well rounded, fresh, but also strong and characteristic. If De Snaterende Arend keep it up like this, then Brouwerij De Molen has a serious contender for innovative brews made on Dutch soil.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 altonbrownd (4210) - Brussels, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2009
On tap at Arendsnest. Wicked. Bright orange color with nice head. Hoppy and citrus nose. Prickly soft texture. Oranges in the flavour and lots of grapefruit throughout and bitter in the finish.
