sayravai (3183), Helsinki, Finland Sep 28, 2008 (Bottled) Very hazy reddish amber with a smallish, bubbly head. Aroma of sweetish, raisiny malt, fermented strawberries, and dried fruitiness. Sweetish, dried-fruity flavor with initially some stuffy-yeasty, homebrew-like sidetaste (vanishes after first sip). Also fermented fruit, caramely malt, aromatic hops, and yeast. Medium body, slightly thin, slightly fizzy-carbonated, alcohol shows through a bit. Somewhat unclean, but otherwise ok. ogivlado (2394), Zagreb, Croatia Sep 1, 2008 On tap at ‘t Arendsnest, Amsterdam.
Slight hazy dark golden coloured, medium sized white head, aromatic flowery nose. Malty, hoppy bready and spicy taste with citrusy and light herbal notes. Some discreet touch of alcohol in the finish. Borresteijn (584), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 21, 2008 Sampled @ Pint Meibockfestival, re-sampled @ Arendsnest. Hazy amberblond beer, white head. Nose of hops, citrus, malts. Taste is some malts, lots of bitterness, taste of citrus and some perfume. Soft mouthfeel. Good one! RomanW70 (284), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Jul 14, 2008 Had at Nederlands Biercafe ‘t Arendsnest on 6/18. Very interesting beer. Pours hazy orange gold. Frothy white head. Aroma of flowers, spice and hops. Clear finish. Decent beer. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 19, 2007 Hazy dark golden hue. Sticky, foamy white head. Flowery and citrusy nose deploys a blast of cascade hops. Aromatic and perfumey. Well-bodied in mouth, medium-full in size with cleansing, active and natural carbonation. Limited yeastiness, yet still uplifting the palate. A fine ale. Barely a touch of sweetness betrays the crystal malts, otherwise, it’s all delicate bready pale malts, yet still quite chewy.
