From the foeder, 12 months of age - "about halfway through its fermentation" according to the man with the bucket. Hazy pale yellow color, frothy white head that settles quickly. Aroma of summerfruit, light cotrus. Taste hasa soft edge of sour lemon. Tasty.

Sampled from the barrel // poured from a jug @ Tour de Geuze. About 12 months old and described by them as still fermenting by them and young. Appearance is also super-murky, milky with some bubbles here,… I quite like their older stuff and lambic I have had from them before but this is a bit too weird for me to get into,… I have never had a lambic like this. Nose is pure rotting grains, spoiled yoghurt, very lactic, rotting barn, mash, soggy cereal,… Taste is fermenting grains, mash, lactic, spoiled yoghurt, rotting barn, mildew, residual sugar,… Watery but also sort of full because of grainy and residual nature,… Wow too far out for me I supposed, how much extracts do you need to add to this in Gods name in order before it tastes like their sweetened & artificial stuff. This stuff is so weird....

Straight from barrel @ the brewery. Lambic dated 04-11-11. Golden color. Oak and lemon in the aroma. Quite sour flavor. lemon, oak, "spritzig". Very complex, great lambic. I didn’t know that De Troch could be that good!
Also tasted young lambics from march, april and may 2012. Still very much in the bud, but showing promise.

Literally right out of the barrel at the brewery. Nice musty, basement-like aroma and tart of flavor. A great experience!

Spicy aroma with heavy earthy aromas. The lambic pours a rich golden color. Tart and funky upfront with strong earthy barnyard flavors with a nice spicy citrus tartness. Excellent!

1 year old, so young lambic, straight from the barrel in the brewery. Smells fruity, but doesn’t taste fruity at all. Altough it was too cold straight from the barrel, it tastes like wood and bitterness. Will be nice to do a blend with.

On tap at the De Heeren 20th Anniversary party during last week’s trip to Belgium. Reviewed from notes.
Served in a HORAL mini tumbler.
Poured a slightly hazy light golden color with a thin white head and a touch of lacing.
The nose was very cheesy with a huge farmhouse presence. Really strong funk with a heavy dirty-sock character. Moderate acidity follows up on the funk and cheese.
Light body and low carbonation. Light acidity and heavy funk.
Interesting selection and one I was quite pleased to try.

Säuerlicher Antrunk mit leichtem Holzgeschmack, etwas künstlich wirkend. Unpassend wirkt ein komischer Beigeschmack, der das Bier etwas plastikartig erscheinen lässt.

Säuerlich aromatischer Geruch. Trockener und saurer Antrunk. Weiterhin sauer in die Mitte gehend, hier aber mehr holziger. Etwas milder ausfließend.
