4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JorisPPattyn (6728) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 31, 2009
Draught - actually medium-aged, needs retasting Pale copper-ochre beer, fine haze, no head. Stale grapes or stale wine, leathergrease, horseblanket in the nose. Faint sweetness left, bringing it indeed on the edge of old/young; grapes (muscat variety), and lunaria. Medium bodied (again!), slick, very light acidburn. Very good medium-aged lambic.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Thorpe429 (3824) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - SEP 16, 2011
On tap at the De Heeren 20th Anniversary party during last week’s trip to Belgium. Reviewed from notes.
Served in a HORAL mini tumbler.
Poured a slightly hazy light golden color with a thin white head and a touch of lacing.
The nose was very cheesy with a huge farmhouse presence. Really strong funk with a heavy dirty-sock character. Moderate acidity follows up on the funk and cheese.
Light body and low carbonation. Light acidity and heavy funk.
Interesting selection and one I was quite pleased to try.
