Straight from the barrel at the brewery, barrel from ’09, so 3 yr old. Clear pale reddish color. Lovely cherry aroma, good tartness. Great fruitiness, good tartness in taste as well. Wonderful stuff again.

The unblended cherry lambic from De Troch, only very occasionally used for the production of an oude kriek. Light red colour with orange-pinkish hue, obviously no head, ’mals’ and soft character but fully traditional, bit meaty, some vague gingerbread-like sweetness, ample fruit, lactic acidity leading to a long dry finish. Not the most rich or fruity kriekenlambic I had so far, but interesting and genuine.

Bag in a box at WoSF 2014. Deep purple red, flat pour. Lemony, cherry winey cherries, mature/overripe fruits. Taste is quite tart, light sourness, light gastric notes, slightly overripe fruit. Palate is light, med-dry. Decent.

At WE of Spontaneous Fermentation 2014. Hazy reddish purple with a small pinkish head that quickly disappear. Aroma is slightly acidic with tart cherries, sweetness notes and wooden notes. Taste is very similar, but there’s a weird vomit and mushrooms finish that I didn’t liked. Medium body. Flat. Moderately dry finish. Aroma is good, but the taste is unfortunately a tad off.

Gedronken op Borefts’13. Kleur is oranje en helder. Geen schuimkraag aanwezig. Ruikt fruitig. Smaakt zuur, appels, kersen, niet lekker en brand in de keel. Geen koolzuur en waterig.

Bottle shared at Borefts ’13, thanks to Kamiel, 27/09/13. Dark amber with light reddish hues and no head. Nose is light cherry balsams, tarte fruit stained oak, soured cherry, light acidic twang, vinegars. Taste comprises soured cherry, strong fruit balsams, acidic notes, woody, dank tasting, fruity dry rot. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry acidic finale. Ok - a little OTT on the vinegars.

I expected more from this. It has a hint of lambiek, but the sweet cherry is dominant. Too bad.

Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 1. Bottle share - thanks to whoever bought this along. Pretty much a clear peach coloured beer. No real head. Palate is light and crisp. Sour cherry, raspberry and a touch of hazlenuts. Very acid, it burns on the way down. Rubbish.

Sampled this from a bottle (I think thx to Martinus) @ Borefts ’13. Orange colour, clear and no head. Looks a bit dead. Smells vinegar and quite overwhelmingly sour. Tastes unpleasantly sour and astringent. Not very fruity. Thin to medium body and hardly any carbo. Not my beer.

Bottle@Borefts’13: No head. Rose copper colored beer. Aromas of cherries, manure, barnyard, fermentation. Flavour is acidic sour mixed with acetic sour, cherries, wild yeast, hints of sour wood... Aftertaste is burning acetic vinegar cherry sourness... No carbo, watery mouthfeel, medium bodied and a texture between watery and creamy.

Growler at BBF’13, thanks Tinus. Hazy pink colour, off-white head. Aroma is sour cherries, acid, funk, poo. Flavour is alright, sour, tart cherries, lemon acid, finish is sour, grainy, some plastic, wet earth. Light-bodied.
