Kind gift from caesar. Hazy golden colored. Fruity nose, wood. Fruity and tart flavor, not extremely sour, but quite dry. Very refreshing.

5L jug (Lambiek 01/2014) from source, post TdG. Very basic and rough, but honest in line with its rural basic courtyard surroundings: dirty pediococcus funk, lactic and some acetic acid in the nose, mainly sour green apple and white balsamico in taste. Meaty mouthfeel. Bit harsh on the stomache in pure thirstquenching doses, but good sour mixer for summer radlers - which is basically De Troch’s own Chapeau brand. Serve well-chilled and to the not-so-squeamish.

Sample at WWT IV courtesy of Caesar. Thin white head. Cloudy blond pour. A little sour. Ok

Bottle shared thanks to Caesar. Pours hazy golden with a ring white head. Aroma is light funky, a little urine, citrus, a little dank. Flavour is light acidic, a strange meaty touch coming out in the palate. Light to medium bodied with flat carbonation.

Bottle @ WWT IV, courtesy of caesar. Pours a clear golden beer without any head on top. Aroma is very urine-ey, piss, manure and fecal matter. Flavor is very stringent, fruits. Light carbonation, Long stringent sour aftertaste. Really not liking this.

At WWT tasting thanks to Ceasar. Clear straw with very small white head. Sulphur up front, but it fades a bit after a while luckily. Urine, musty grains, old wood, hay. Light sour and dry feel with light body. Maybe it sat too long in the bottle but still not bad.

Bottle @ WWT IV thanks to Caesar. Clear pale golden color, virtually no head. Smell and taste lightly sourish fruits, sourish fruitpeel, quite dry. Low body and carbonation.

(Backlog) at spontaneous fermentation. Almost clear pour, still. Very funky, fruit, leather aromas. Full tart flavor, with some sweetness.

On tap at DHVL, pours a clear bronze with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of flowers - a little funk. Flavour is very flowery as well, with a citric finish. Interesting stuff, but not my entirely my thing. Decent.

Nocturne (1117) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Sample at Night of the Great Thirst 2014. Pours a clear yellow with virtually no head at all. Very vinous and complex with hay and grassy notes. Slight vinegar influence. Very tasty indeed and one that I was glad to have tried.
