Borresteijn (2757) - Amsterdam, - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle sample at PINT Winterbierfestival ’12. Orange colour, off white head. Aroma of sweet overripe fruits, leaves, oranges, a bit weird. Flavour is sweet, cloying, loads of fruits, oranges and melon, light hoppy finish. Didn’t like this at all.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear copper with a small white head and an aroma of yeast, hops alcohol, fresh cherries, caramel and malts. The taste is sweet, syrupy, with notes of honey, sweet malts and toffee. The finish is a nice lasting hop-bitterness with notes of pine and fresh spices. A really nice double IPA!

Double IPA and a damn tasty one. Flowery and honey notes. Some grass and a little stick. This guy from Wezep makes some fine beers. Bottle from Van Erp.

Amber coloured, dense thick white head. Aroma is hoppy, bitternes shows up but also some sweetness like peaches and honey. bitter taste as expected, but not too much. Besides the bitterness one tastes not much else, like a lot of other ipa’s, dipa’s etc. Not bad. Label says 9% alcohol, double IPA.

Good head. Color is dull, looks like lager. Smell gives lots of hops, and makes me think of British bitter ales. Taste is not align with smell, quite sweet and mildly hoppy. This is very drinkable, I must remember the bottle when beer juniors ask advice. Perhaps not worlds most complex beer, but nice one.

Soft in mouth with some sweet red berries, bit of honey and alcohol is noticeable, touch. Bitterness also shows as does a little spice. I quite like this. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

Bottle shared with Deanso. Hazy dark golden pour with bubbly tan head. Aroma of fruit, caramel. Flavour seems a little strange with caramel and a lot of orange. Some alcohol in the finish along with a little bitterness

Bottle from De Bierkoning. Wow! Another Dutch craft brewery and judging from this BSA it is one of the better ones right out the box. Cloudy amber body with frothy head. Nose of slight sour and honey. Taste is sweet, honey, malts, some fruits, toffee and caramel. Good punch with the high ABV. Underrated in my opnion and really nice. This is a top beer. Well done.
