Hooker (444), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jul 11, 2006 Clear yellow gold colour with thin white head. Mild malt nose with slight yeast hints. Sweet malt taste with mild bitter finish. natrat (66), Naka-shi, Japan Nov 7, 2005 GCBF. Poured to a light straw colour. Tight creamy head with minimal lacing. Aroma is crisp with a spicy note. Taste is very clean, but a bit bland. Not very sweet...squeaky dry. Not bad on this hot day. Not myfavourite lager, but a great alternative to the commercial dreck. Crit (2234), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Aug 10, 2003 Deep gold, no head. Light malt nose.Full bodied for a lager.Sweet malt flavor fades to a dirty line finish. Flat BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 5, 2003 Light tan with little head. Slight carbonation. Aroma is malty and little else. Flavour is light and watery with nothing really specialexcept some light herb notes. Finish is thin and forgettable. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 29, 2002 Light tan, some haze. Sweetish palate. Tastes a little like corn syrup although I’d be quite disappointed if this small micro actually used any. Goldings or Willamettes in evidence. Flavours are herbal, with mushrooms (finding those in damn near everything all of a sudden), hedges and early morning farmer’s fields. Look at me trying to find new ways of describing a beer I’ve essentially had four dozen times before. What can I say, the beer is so boring I need to make my own fun. Imagine what I can come up with when I finally have Rickard’s Honey Brown...tastes like watching two fat elderly people get it on...no I can do better than that...tastes like watching your dog lick his own balls...something like that anyway.
