Standard brown nutty, chocolate roast scent. Roast certainly dominates the flavour and a tad more bitter than other browns I’ve had. Little carbonation and not much else to say. Surpasses most commercial beers, but nothing spectacular.

Pours a clear medium brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, chocolate and a hint of caramel. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, caramel and then an espresso taste and bitterness along with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation make this a nice easy drinking English brown ale.

A boring, bland brown that lacks a heavy roast nor a rich malt. Pours a bright brownish amber with a thin beige head. The nose is light, toasted, caramel and toffee malts with a light hop. Overall a bland flavour...

Orange sombre avec un petit col beige. L’arôme est de malt, un peu sucré. Le goût est le même avec une finale un très peu amer.

341 ml bottle from the Summer Sampler. Nice to see they have wised up and gone to a brown bottle. Clear deep dark amber, small foamy tan head lasts. Muted sweet nutty malty aroma. Lightly roasted chocolate malt taste, some caramel, nuts, and coffee bean. Light carbonation, thin-light body, low hopped. Dry vapid finish. Disappointing compared to some of their more recent efforts. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

341mL bottle, taster pack 4.8%. Dark brown pour with a bubbly tan head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is coffee, and roasted malt. Taste is strong roast malts, hint of coffee and nuttiness. Finish is dry, somewhat bland but a lingering malty sweetness. Just OK.

Pours a transparent dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, nutty, and light caramel. Flavour is roasted malts, nutty, some caramel and a dry finish. Overall one of the best dead frog brews.

I was a little hesitent just because of the name and that it’s brewed in Aldergrove... This beer really does taste nutty, in a good way. Very warm brown color, nothing in the flavor is overpowering. I’d really like to pick up a bit more of this though and try a few more of their other brews.

Mud brown color with nice frothy head. Little detectable aroma. Easy-drinking, light on the malt. Medium-bodied, with a good mouthfeel, easy malt flavor, but rather non-descript.

Poured from 341mL bottle. Dark brown with minimal beige head. Nutty roasted malt aroma. Light body, nutty, roasted flavour with hint of caramel.
