Dead Manís Hand is our interpretation of the Russian Imperial Stout style. For the coming years, we plan to brew several versions of this beer.

Bottle from hop hideout, sheffield. Dark brown with small white head. Aroma is pruney and figgy and winey. Taste is sour and bitter. Prickly and medium. Not good.

Aroma: Licorice, chocolate, caramel, toffee, bread, slight dark fruit. Appearance: Ruby/black beer with a foamy medium-sized light brown head. Taste/Palate: Where the aroma is mostly an imperial stout, the taste is dominated by fruit for everything but the first two seconds.

Bierfestival Tegelen. De versie uit bordeaux vaten. Donker van kleur, weinig kraag. Ruikt naar wijn, zuur, hout. Smaakt houtig en zurig, beetje als een duchesse, bitterzoete asperine afdronk. Apart.

33cl bottle @ home from Bertís Bierhuis Biltstraat, Utrecht. Body is nearly black, head is big, brownish, rocky, mostly lasting, good lacing. Nose is wine and smoke, flavor is wine, roasted malt, toast, vanilla. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Finish is medium lasting roasty medium bitter, light alcohol warmth. Full body, dry sticky texture, lively carbonation. Quite heavy dessert beer, interesting.

Dark brown and almost clear. Has a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, dark sugars with acid from berries. Flavor starts sweet, roasted, fruity sweetness too. Acid.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Nearly black. Thick, bubbly, lasting, sticky, tan head. Moves in slow motion. Lovely looking beer. Nose has dregs of red wine. Hard caramel chocolates. Woody, and grassy. Dark fruits. Taste is fruity, tangy, and vinous bitter. Woody dryness. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Finishes light, slightly smoky, fruity tart, bitter. Sank this in no time. Lovely tang. Nice stout in red wine barrels. Not much to dislike, for me.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Daniel for this one. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Rich malts in the nose, some earth, ripe fruits. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with dark fruits, berries, toffee. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with more hearty dark fruit character. Not bad overall.

Bottle. Black pour, off white head. Aroma of vinous tardy red fruit, coffee, caramel and licorice. Taste of caramelised malt, red wine, red fruit tart, oak, fresh anise and bitter coffee in the finish. Better than expected.

Bottle split at Jack The Sipper leaves for the FBI again tasting, thanks to Daniel, 14/07/15. Black topped with a decent tan covering. Nose is dark malts, dark fruit peel, chocoalte, earthy notes. Taste comprises light roast, trace of barrel, dark chocolate, molasses, light charr. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Low end of style, not a stinker but simply lacks depth.
