Aroma of red wine, tart fruit, red grapes, oak, light roasted malts, light coffee, some chocolate notes. Flavour is moderate sweet, moderate tart, with a light to moderate bitter finish. Starts out like red wine but the aftertaste is where the Imperial Stout shows up. Interesting take on the style.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg Very dark brown with a lacing lasting brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and wine. Taste is medium bitter but with a vinous sweetness that doesnít work for me. aftertaste is more alike to an imperial stout with lasting roasted malts. Not the best imperial stout for me due to the wine influence but Iím curious to find out if the bourbon aged versions are more to my liking because the basis is solid.

Bottle at home. Dark brown colour. Creamy foam in layers. Smells a bit soure, some soy sauce, a little bit chocolate, and some coffee. Taste: medium sourness, medium bitterness, the bitterness just kicks in after seconds. The body is medium a bit oily. It not bad but its strange

Bottle by Cuso. Aroma roasted and chocolate, but also firm bubblegum bretty presence. Red fruits. Very dark colour. Taste goes in the established direction. Surprisingly well balanced with even some leftover sweetness. Fruity, roasty, just a pleasant touch of brett. Very good.

On tap 5 oz. pour at Max's in the Fell's Point district, Baltimore, MD. Opaque, near black with a light tan head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, slightly acidic red wine, chocolate, licorice, coffee and cherries. Taste of roasted malt, tart dark cherries, red wine, licorice, chocolate, raisins and oak. Medium body and medium carbonation with a smooth, yet tingly mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
