Tap at Calgary Beer Fest. Pours clear dark brown with mahogany highlights and a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, dates, and cookie malt. Flavor is spice dominant, supporting malt, no hops or bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Rusty orange with a thing white head. The aroma is all spices with cloves dominating the more appealing cinnamon. The proper food analogy would be if you shaving cinnamon onto a pile of cloves and then put a dollop of pumpkin paste on top. In other words, there is not enough pumpkin! A bit of a mess. It isn’t terrible but I feel it the balance could use some attention.

Pours a clear dark copper/brown colour with a couple fingers of head that quickly dissolves into a thin ring around the glass. Aromas of spice(lots of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon) overall a more aromatic pumpkin pie. Flavour is spicy, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, sweetness, overall taste is a spicy pumpkin pie filling. For a pumpkin beer its one of the better ones.

Poured from a growler acquired from the brewery. Pours a clear brown color witha small brown frothy head that dissipates into nothing. Aroma of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and pumpkin. Taste is cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie filling. Definitely an artificial pumpkin taste as it’s made with pumpkin pie filling but the spices make this beer interesting. Lots of spices liven up this beer and make it worthy, interesting that its a year round pumpkin beer as well.

Poured into glass from a 64oz growler a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves no lacing behind. Aroma is pumpkin with the usual cinnamon and cloves that accompany this style of beer. Taste is dominated by the cinnamon and cloves with only a bit of pumpkin fruitiness and some bitterness. A decent pumpkin brew, but nothing really stands out.

On tap at Underground. Dark orange pour, thin white cap. Big spicy nose, cloves and cinnamon. Taste has big spice notes - cinnamon and cloves, not much pumpkin. Body is light, tight carbonation. Ok.

Review done by day old memory, I normally hate doing this but a crap beer gets a crap review. Split one pint with to other gimps at the sugar bowl.....Brew looks like a rum and coke........brown with limited bubble islands. Aroma is like walking into a candle shop that had a clove bomb dropped on it. CLOVE!!!!! Thin body with a massively potent spice component, clove, cinnamon, more clove, mild hints of pumpkin mush. So not balanced.....this is all spice, and the spice is just crushing the none existing malt. It taste like a candle....how did they make a beer taste like a candle??? and how do I know what a candle taste like????? I could not finish drinking my 1/3 pint of this clove juice.

Sugarbowl. Reddish under amberish lights. Smells like pumpkin candles - the cheap ones. There’s a fuckload of clove. And cinnamon. Can smell the pumpkiny crust too. The taste is waxy and way over the top with the clove. More clove. Got some clove burn. Needs more pumpkin. Crummy mouth feel. Oh yea - I don’t like pumpkin beers.
