2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ungstrup (23969) - Oamaru, - DEC 9, 2005
A hazy orange beer with a huge white head. The aroma has strong notes of citrus and dust, while the flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, spices, citrus, as well as some dust - which I believe is from the hops.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Stoutjourner (18) - THAILAND - APR 28, 2009
Not much to say about this one. It was just simply boring. Must be why it was discontinued by Deca.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2005
Cloudy dark golden colour. Bready aroma. Flavour is also bready and seems a little oxidized.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 madsberg (7569) - Søborg, DENMARK - DEC 3, 2005
Bottled: Golden coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Sweet, yeasty, fruity aroma with a dash of alcohol to spice up the nose. Flavour is spiced and has some fruity accents. Is quite thin and a bit over the top. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Quite nice.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (22985) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Steen and I found this in a dusty box at the stockroom, when we visited Deca last July. (Deca is a bit of a peculiar mix between a microbrewery and liquorstore) This is quite a few years old and is no longer produced. However, it’s quite lively in the glass, with a tall living head on top of an onrange-golden beer with sediments in the bottle. Smells a bit sour and unpleasant. The flavor however is primarily bitter on a quite light body. 250904
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - NOV 26, 2003
Caramel and vinous "chardonnay" aroma. and flavor. Sherry flavor coming up. Fruity (apple) and bitter aftertaste. This beer is in fact a bit too old, but the flavor is OK and the lacing is satisfying.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 joet (1876) - Fulton, California, USA - JUL 12, 2003
Pale grapefruit color, grapefruit flavors and some bandage and basement sour aromas. Thin body but not badly so, refreshingly tart. Delicious.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - FEB 17, 2003
Pineapple and light lemon aroma. Golden color before the yeast pours in. White head, good lace. Neutral flavors, some spices (pepper, cinnamon?), little thin. Long lasting bitter finish.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Kåstå (1221) - Mol, BELGIUM - FEB 14, 2003
Clear blond beer with a medium head. Slightly sour, yeasty and rubber wheel aroma. Bitter taste with a dry bitter aftertaste. There is nothing more than bitterness to the taste which makes a bit flat.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 25, 2002
cloudy, dirty orange colour, no head, perfume and unfermented malt in the nose, light-bodied, rough and dry with a brutal finish - what is this ?
