3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle, expired on july 2013. Golden, clear, small off-white head disappearing. Nose: honey, malts, very subtile nose, but not outspoken. . Taste is honey, bitter sweet, malts. sweet parts takes over rather quickly. Tried this one head to head with an Antiek blond that matured in mid 2011. Color was dark golden, with the nose turned dusty, muff, iron, earthy. and the taste was again muff, even a touch of metallic. conclusion aging does not help this beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle @ ’t Antwaerps Bierhuyske. Appearance: Hazy amber with a slightly brown head. Scent: Sweet smell, reminds me of a mix between honey and applesauce. Taste: Quite the sweet taste, combined with applesauce. Not really my thing to begin with. I’ll most likely forget that I had it.

Taste is sweet, candy sugar, applesauce, sweet spices, caramel, very simple, touch boozy, sweet white bread yeast + white sugar. Medium bodied with fine carb. Somewhat cloying & simple BE brew but not offensive & enjoyable although entirely forgettable as well.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Antiek blonde old strong ale. Goudkleurig, veel schuim en koolzuur. Ruikt wat zoetfruitig en ook metalig. Smaakt vrij zoet zonder dat er een bepaalde smaak uitspringt, perzik misschien. Niks bijzonders als geheel.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home. Aroma is faint, some malt and fruity notes, bit of yeast. Flavour is fruity, loads of esters, some malt and herbal/spices notes. Decent but a bit boring.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl directly from Deca. Cloudy-orange in the glass, the nose is very sweet, the alcohol is visible. The beer starts fruity, pineapple, papaya, mango, orange. The 9% are visible in the taste as well, the alcohol is a bit sharp.
The mainpart is very fruity as well, nice yeast body, nearly no hops. In the end the beer is long in the aftertaste, nice and fruity, but also very sharp.
--> A great beer with great fruit-"aroma", but the alcohol-taste could be much less!
