Bottle at home. Stunning blonde. Slightly hazy pale yellow colour with good lasting head. Aroma of alcohol and zesty fruit (banana, peach). Fruit and alcohol in the flavour which is complimented by an earthy hoppiness. Very good indeed.

Bottle, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: light clouded blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: little oxidated, sweet, alcohol. TASTE: oxidated, not that good in general... This is an aged sample, but bought it like this in the shop and not expired, so the rating remains like this.

Trappist1 (420) - Diest, BELGIUM - DEC 18, 2013
330ml bottle, expired on july 2013. Golden, clear, small off-white head disappearing. Nose: honey, malts, very subtile nose, but not outspoken. . Taste is honey, bitter sweet, malts. sweet parts takes over rather quickly. Tried this one head to head with an Antiek blond that matured in mid 2011. Color was dark golden, with the nose turned dusty, muff, iron, earthy. and the taste was again muff, even a touch of metallic. conclusion aging does not help this beer.

One of the many Belgian blond beers. Sweet, mildly bitter and some fruits. Unoriginal.

33cl bottle @ ’t Antwaerps Bierhuyske. Appearance: Hazy amber with a slightly brown head. Scent: Sweet smell, reminds me of a mix between honey and applesauce. Taste: Quite the sweet taste, combined with applesauce. Not really my thing to begin with. I’ll most likely forget that I had it.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ ’t Antwaerps Bierhuyske. Amber with an off-white head. Nose is sweet with lots of sugar, candy apples & sweet spices. Taste is sweet, candy sugar, applesauce, sweet spices, caramel, very simple, touch boozy, sweet white bread yeast + white sugar. Medium bodied with fine carb. Somewhat cloying & simple BE brew but not offensive & enjoyable although entirely forgettable as well.

Antiek blonde old strong ale. Goudkleurig, veel schuim en koolzuur. Ruikt wat zoetfruitig en ook metalig. Smaakt vrij zoet zonder dat er een bepaalde smaak uitspringt, perzik misschien. Niks bijzonders als geheel.
