This was a damn fine beer. Cloudy pour with an excellent head, leaving an orangey wheaty liquid where an insipid straw colour was expected. My second beer of the day in Witham at a friends barbecue, this little beast went down far too quickly, despite it being fairly sour to the taste. The strength held to the end of the glass. I would seek this out again

Bottled. Pours hazy golden with a huge with head. Smells stale malty and boiled vegetables. Tastes creamy malty with a slight bitter finish.

Big foamy, creamy, white head atop a golden straw colored liquid. Plenty of lacing as it falls. A old bubble gum and malt aroma. Some yeast notes. Sweet malty flavor. A bit of a bitterness on the back side. Not bad.

Sweet and fruity aroma. Amber-gold color, a bit hazy and sparkling, white head and some lacing. Taste is quite alcoholic, malts and a bit of honey. Very nice hoppy aftertaste. Surprisingly good beer from a brewer I did not know!

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 11 July 2011) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange, marmalade and spices. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, coriander seeds, sugar and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, sweet. Decent, but a bit unrefined and perhaps a touch too sweet.

Not a bad taste and a pretty good smell, but not as good as the ’bruin’. The carbonation is fine though, and the alcohol is very well mixed with it. Good body.

Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 23, 2011
Bottle: Thanks to Joes: Very big pretty vast white head on top of a hazy orange colored beer. Smell honey, spices, grains, malts and some ripe fruits. Taste honey & fruit with hints of herbs, malts, hops, bitter, flower and spices. Aftertaste is a mix of hop, weed and herbs. Low carbo, medium body, soft tingly mouthfeel and watery texture. Strange beer with an alcohol tint to it.

Hazy orange colour with a medium white head. Aroma is honey and fruitish. Taste is yeast, malts, citrus fruits and a bit wooden. Dry finish.
