4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BelgianBeerGal (2605) - Dayton Area, Ohio, USA - MAR 12, 2007
25cL bottle. No it’s not the famous Westy from up the street but I thought this was a great beer, especially for the price. I would recommend trying this beer. Best place to buy is the drive-through beer barn in Woesten.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MesandSim (7118) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2006
A Mes rate: 25cl bottle from Quinns. Lovely spicy with hints of alcohol and hops but with a fantastic note of germoline. Opaque cloudy golden colour with a thin white head and plenty of lace. Malt and alcohol in the flavour with some biscuit and cream. Nice hoppy balance for the finish but sadly the alcohol shows through just a little too much for me. Good beer though.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Baresi (14) - Kungsbacka, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2006
What a great expectations I had when I found this beer. Another beer from the Vleteren area close to Ieper in Belgium (I guess everyone have heard about the great Westvleteren). Unfortunately it’s not like the West neighbours. Yeasty and fruity nose and the flavor is fruity and quite alcoholic.
