Bottle at Janoinen Lohi, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a small but thick head. Aroma of dark fruits, berries, sweet maltiness and some spiciness. Taste has sweet maltiness, dark fruitiness and a little spiciness; notes of raisin, caramel. Palate is smooth and medium to full bodied. All in all, pretty standard dark strong Belgian - sweet, full, malty and fruity. Quality beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33 cl. bottle @ Bier Central. My first Deca beer. Light ruby, dark brownish amber with little white head – not too certain because of the lightning. Nose is sweet, lots of liquorice here, sweet herbs, touch grains, light dark fruits & thick caramel. Taste is big on liquorice, sweet, sweet with lots of sweet herbs, light dark fruits & touch syrup in the back, caramel, sweet toffee, grains & light touch of roasted malts. Touch too much carb. bit thin. Okay but not entirely there.

I think I have the right beer, it’s named Dark Old Strong Ale Vleteren. Bought somewhere in Belgium. Smell of dried fruit and some earth cellar notes, or actually more like an attic. Smooth mouthfeel. Round tastes with dried fruit.

A dark brown beer with a almost medium and beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, raisins, dates and some red berries. Taste is also dark fruity, raisins, not too sweet, some spices and yeast. Medium bodied, quite fresh and nice to drink. Good beer, there are nothing very special, but that’s fine, mainly nice dark fruits.

is this the same as ’vleteren’ cause i cant find that one. maybe the label changed? anyway, if not, i’m sorry for posting this wrong; this is for vleteren, by deca ( woesten- veleteren) wich i drank from a 33 cl bottle, brought to me by a friend.
i’ve heard it was the ’ white label’ of pannepot. the smell certainly is not. wich i like, cause the smell is the onley ’ bad ’ thing of a pannepot in my opinion. the taste is more like it. i understand they make a conection but this is way more easy, commercialized, less tasqte and specialty,... but definatly very good ! i’m gonna buy myself some of these :)
