Countbeer (4367) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2011
Bottle: Small light brown foamy head on top of a clear (filtered out the yeast) deep dark orange to brown colored beer. Smell malts, caramel, very light smell. Taste without yeast: malts, caramel, some darker spices, light bitter and sweet. Taste with yeast: more fruitier, malts, light bitter, yeast, light wood and hints of spices and something light dry-ish. Aftertaste of malts and light spicy and something very light dry. Soft mouthfeel, low carbo, medium body and light oily texture. Nice beer.

Butters (3745) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 11, 2011
330 ml bottle. As Dark Old Strong Ale Vleteren. From Woesten/Vleteren, Belgium. Pours a hazy burgandy with fair tan head. Nose is like sweet old cardboard. Flavor has oxidation, and dark dried fruits. Sweet, but dry yeasty finish. Huge carbonation. I rather enjoyed it.

thewolf (11148) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 28, 2010
Bottle, bought @ Belgisk Bryg.
Light gusher. Pours muddy red-brown with a small, frothy, fizzy off-white head. Settles as a very thin film. Aroma is mild, light cellar, lots of dark dried fruits. Plums, prunes, raisins and a bit of malty astringency. Light biscuity as well. High carbonation, fine dryish mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, malty, caramel, prunes and plums. Light dark chocolate and a fair dry malty finish. Okay.

26th September 2010.
Hazy amber brown beer with a small cream head. Light, crisp and semi dry palate. Creamy dry malt and a little caramel. A little orange and whispers of banana and marmite. A few minerals before a dry finish. Not bad.

Barrelbelly (633) - BELGIUM - AUG 19, 2010
Trappist and Triple mixed flavour. It would be better if it were one of the two but it seems they could not decide which flavour they would like. The bottle mentioned "old strong ale" but the taste is rather shallow.

Bottle at Délices & Caprices(Brussels). It pours a dark brown color. You taste the malty aroma and the caramels. Mouthfeel is well balanced and smooth. It has a thin head that disappears quickly. I will buy this beer in every opportunity I will have.
