UPDATED: DEC 10, 2008 [draft - 10th Annual PA Microbrewers Fest, Pennsylvania Brewing Co. - Pittsburgh, PA] Poured a deep, dark amber color with a thin off-white head. Semi-sweet and citrusy aroma. Initial flavor was a good blast of malt with a sweet backbone and a creamy balanced finish. A tad on the watery side, but not too much so, and very clean and bitter-free finish.

Crystal clear, deep amber ale with a whispy, off-white head and sparse lacing. Fruity, citrusy aroma with notes of toffee. Well-bittered, malty flavor with blasts of caramel and grapefruit. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish.

Very typical beer. Good head. Very mild with a bitter, uneasy finish. (on tap, Pennsylvania Microbrewers Fest 2003)

Nice try. Light on hops and malts. Watery. Looked better than it tasted. Eminently forgettable.

Dark for an amber, but a good attempt. Nice use of malt, very light on the hops. Starts with a decent head and average nose. Goes down easy. Just a tad watery.
