3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap @ The Brass Ass (I mean) Brass-Tap in Round Rock, TX...
Appearance is redish, more so than most IPAs...Smooth, great hop kick at the top, followed by malts and spice (from the alcohol)some citrus, then ending with more pine-like spices...a pretty nice balanced finish...The carbonation is good There’s a good fullness. Present, but not ’too’ much fruity/sweet flavors...The final pine/spice balances the beer out wonderfully,...I was expecting a fruitier/hoppier finish...This one good, a great example of an American IPA, but there are far better ones out ’there...’Chasin’ Cheers :~)

Cloudy amber orange pour with a decent amount of head. Good amount of bourbon and oak in the nose with tropical fruit and other citrus. Some pine as well. Woody with lots of citrus.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of bourbon as well as some orange notes. The flavor is very similar. The bourbon, vanilla and oak notes come through up front, but they are complimented by the orange citrus notes. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice beer.
